Add me to those who think Road Trips Vol. 1 is pretty terrific.

Shakedown 10/25/79? Go listen and tell me it's not hot.
The Dancin'>Franklin's? Exceptional.

The bonus disc of 10/31/79 material is also spot-on.

Sound is loud and clear. What more could you want?

they took "best ofs" from an excellent Fall '79 tour and put 'em on well-made discs. This is exactly the kind of product--as a long time DeadHead grateful for what they did-- i'm happy to pay for (even tho' I can get all this material elsewhere and for free) and only wish they'd produce more of 'em more often.

Give me highlights from the April '78 tour, for example, and i'd pay double what i did for Vol. 1.

I just don't get the complaints on this thing.
